SXSW Eco is excited to announce that the Pike Powers Laboratory & Center for Commercialization will be supporting the Startup Showcase by providing independent product performance testing for companies selected to present at SXSW Eco in the categories of Green Tech and Clean Web.
With nearly 80 TB of high speed Dell computing systems and sophisticated National Instruments, Schneider and Intel product testing equipment, the Pike Powers Lab offers specialized capabilities for companies developing, testing and validating a wide range of consumer electronics, software and energy applications that incorporate metrology, building controls, solar photovoltaics, natural gas fuel cell, energy storage, machine-to-machine, vehicle charging, big data management and disaggregation technologies. As of earlier this week, Pike Powers Lab will be teaming up with the Circuit of the Americas to install an energy measurement system at the facility. The partnership also gives the Lab and its clients access to the track's 1,500-acre site for R&D efforts.
The Finalists of the Startup Showcase will have the opportunity to have their product vetted at this renowned facility and will be able to include the results of the product testing in their presentation, thereby providing the Judging panel with independent performance testing results to assist them in their evaluation of presenting companies. After the event, participants will be able to use this valuable information for their own business purposes.
For winners of the Green Tech (Seed + Series) and Clean Web categories, the Pike Powers Lab will provide 40 hours of free product development and/or performance verification testing.
