Attend Startup Springboard today at 3:15 PM in Exhibit Hall 1 to hear Texas startup and SXSW Eco Alum, framergy, discuss their announcement that they have raised approximately $1.6M in a Series A round from new investor, AFC LLC, including a small participation from existing investors.
Last year, we saw that framergy, a company that focuses on Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs), was working on a promising solution to the challenge of energy storage and invited them to present in an event showcasing early-stage technologies. Since the conference, the company has taken off, and we are happy to have them back for SXSW Eco 2013 to recognize them as one of the success stories that come out of SXSW events.
Framergy announced that they will use latest financing to expand the company’s operations and extend its technology portfolio. As one of the first Metal Organic Framework companies, framergy® is leading the commercialization of nanochemical innovations from Dr. Hong-Cai ‘Joe’ Zhou of Texas A&M University. They promise that these innovations will change the way we use energy.
