Creative minds are increasingly looking to natural organisms and processes in order to spark innovation across all industry sectors and scales. We are pleased to highlight biomimetic design and innovation through a new programming track for 2015, created in partnership with the Biomimicry Institute. The biomimicry track at SXSW Eco 2015 will explore the intercepts of science, technology and design as inspired, mentored and measured by the standards of our natural world. Members of the Institute's affiliated Biomimicry Global Network, a consortium of over 9,000 professionals from all disciplines and backgrounds, are working with SXSW Eco to develop a biomimicry track that will inspire attendees to help build a world in which life – human and non-human alike — not only survives, but thrives.
