SXSW Eco Reception with the United Nations Foundation in D.C.

United Nations Foundation (UNF) & Care2 SXSW Eco is excited to return to Washington D.C. for a night of drinks, music and networking hosted by our friends from the United Nations Foundation and supported by Care2 on Thursday, June 19 from 6pm-8pm.

The United Nations Foundation was created in 1998 with entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner’s historic $1 billion gift to support UN causes and activities. The UNF builds and implements public/private partnerships to address the world’s most pressing problems, and work to broaden support for the UN through advocacy and public outreach. Through their campaigns and partnerships, they connect people, ideas, and resources to help the UN solve global problems. These campaigns seek to reduce child mortality, empower women and girls, create a new energy future, secure peace and human rights, and promote technology innovation to improve health outcomes.

Join the movers and shakers of the capital's sustainability community on the balcony of the UNF as we preview our upcoming conference and get the exclusive on the speakers, panels, exhibitions and parties we have lined up for October. DJ Diem will be spinning the evening's soundtrack and our event partners – Lagunitas Brewing Company, Le Pain Quotidien, Georgetown Trading Co., Dolci Gelati and Vintage Vault – will provide the delectable refreshments. There will also be an opportunity to win a registration to our October 6-8 conference and meet some of the SXSW Eco and UN Foundation members.

Don't miss this night of networking and inspiration, RSVP today as space is limited.
